Nikon 1 J1 Digital Camera


When it comes to compact digital cameras, the usual handhelds that most people are most acquainted to doesn’t seem to be that cool anymore. For many people today, even a compact digital camera should have some added measure of versatility added into it. And for the new Nikon 1 J1, that might be the option of having some added lens options available.
In itself, the Nikon 1 J1 Digital Camera may already be good quality choice among compact digital cameras in the market. It comes with a Nikon CX-format super high-speed AF CMOS sensor to capture every image in sharp detail. It also features an image stabilization system with fast and silent autofocus motors to make sure of better image quality and even in full HD video recording.
But what may appeal to many consumers today is that the Nikon 1 J1 is designed with an interchangeable lens system. That’s quite impressive for such a compact digital camera. There are several lens kits available that will provide the Nikon 1 J1 user a better range of creative options when capturing images or even moving pictures. The Nikon 1 J1 is available at Nikon for US$650.

As rumored, Nikon announced the new D3s digital DSLR camera that enables not only new opportunities in low-light photography but also offer photographers “added shutter speed and aperture freedom with a base ISO sensitivity range from ISO 200 to a remarkable 12,800″.

The D3s is based on the Nikon D3. It features a 12.1-megapixel FX-format CMOS sensor, Dynamic Integrated Dust Reduction System, Nikon EXPEED Image Processor, a 3-inch VGA LCD display, Fast, Accurate 51-Point AF System, Scene Recognition System and 1,005-Pixel 3D Color Matrix Metering II. The new camera is capable of continuous shooting  at up to 9 fps and 1280×720 HD video recording at 24fps. It’s ISO sensitivity can be expanded to 102,400.
The Nikon D3s has two UDMA compatible CompactFlash card slots for fast recording.

Nikon has announced the D40x digital SLR camera. The Nikon D40x has a 10.2 Megapixel CCD image sensor which allows you to take photos up to 3872 x 2592 resolution. The D40x is compatible with Type G or D AF Nikkor lens, and it has an ISO sensitivity up to 3200, shutter speed from 30 to 1/4000 sec, a 2.5-inch LCD screen, and a SD card slot supporting SDHC.

Nikon announced its new flagship camera flash, the Speedlight SB-910 that “harnesses powerful flexibility and control for the revolutionary Creative Lighting System (CLS). Nikon’s new Speedlight features a wide zoom range covering the most popular focal lengths as well as FX/DX-format identification that optimizes zoom settings based on the camera body.

The Nikon SB-910 provides easy operation and menu navigation, featuring illuminated function buttons, a dedicated Menu button with quick access to custom settings and an improved LCD screen graphic user interface. Its new Thermal Cut-Out function offers protection against damage to the flash panel and body from overheating during continuous flash use. It uses new hard-type color compensation filters for fluorescent and incandescent color temperature balancing, offering additional durability and heat-resistance.

The SB-910 has three illumination patterns (standard, center-weighted and even) which are designed to match almost any shooting situation when utilizing the speedligh. It supports Nikon’s wireless TTL operation and can be used as an on-camera flash, a wireless commander with control or as a remote speedlight triggered by other SB-910 speedlights, SB-700 speedlights, SU-800 Wireless Commander or the built-in speedlight set to Commander Mode on compatible Nikon D-SLR cameras.
Coming in mid-December 2011, the Nikon Speedlight SB-910 flash is priced at $549.95.
