As rumored, Nikon announced the new D3s digital DSLR camera that enables not only new opportunities in low-light photography but also offer photographers “added shutter speed and aperture freedom with a base ISO sensitivity range from ISO 200 to a remarkable 12,800″.
The D3s is based on the Nikon D3. It features a 12.1-megapixel FX-format CMOS sensor, Dynamic Integrated Dust Reduction System, Nikon EXPEED Image Processor, a 3-inch VGA LCD display, Fast, Accurate 51-Point AF System, Scene Recognition System and 1,005-Pixel 3D Color Matrix Metering II. The new camera is capable of continuous shooting at up to 9 fps and 1280×720 HD video recording at 24fps. It’s ISO sensitivity can be expanded to 102,400.
The Nikon D3s has two UDMA compatible CompactFlash card slots for fast recording.
